Terms and conditions

The rules for using The Currency Bazaar. Plain English, and short.

By using this website you agree to what is below. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. Who we are

The Currency Bazaar is a brand of Numismatic Coin Collections Private Limited, a company incorporated in India under the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN U52599UP2020PTC134827). Full details are on the contact page.

2. What this website is

We are a marketplace, not a dealer. Sellers list their own coins and notes and set their own prices. We do not own, value, authenticate, grade, store or ship anything listed here, and we are not a party to any sale that is agreed between two users.

Any price range, catalogue figure or past-sale record shown on this site is information, not a valuation and not an offer. It is drawn from completed sales recorded elsewhere in the market. Your item may be worth much less. Most old money is worth roughly what is printed on it.

3. Your account

4. Money: the rule that matters

A seller never pays a buyer, and a buyer never pays a seller a fee to make contact.

There is no registration fee, no customs or clearance charge, no GST payment to release money, and no refundable deposit — ever. Anyone on this site who asks you for money before paying for your item is committing fraud. Report them and we will remove them permanently.

The only money you pay us is a listing plan bought on the pricing page. We take 0% commission on your sale, at any price, on every plan.

5. What you may list

You may list coins and currency notes that you own and can legally sell. You may not list:

Prices must be honest. A listing priced far above anything the item has ever sold for may be held for review before it appears, and we may decline to publish it. This is not us valuing your item — it is us declining to help somebody believe a number that no sale supports.

6. Chat

Buyers and sellers talk only through the chat here, so that no one has to hand over a phone number to a stranger. Do not use it to abuse, threaten or defraud anyone, and do not use it to move the conversation off the site in order to avoid these rules. We read reported conversations.

7. Plans and payment

Plans are a one-time listing allowance. Nothing renews and no card is kept on file. What you see is the full amount charged. Cancellation and refunds are covered on the refund policy page.

8. What we may do

We may remove a listing, hold it for review, or suspend an account that breaks these terms — in particular for fraud, for asking another user for a fee, or for listing something that is not what it claims to be. Where we remove an account that has broken nothing, the unused part of what was paid is returned.

9. Limits

We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that an item will sell, that a listed price is achievable, or that the site will never be down. We are not responsible for what two users agree between themselves, or for an item's condition, authenticity, delivery or payment once they deal directly.

Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including for our own fraud.

10. Your content

Your listings and photographs remain yours. By publishing them you allow us to display them on this site and in search results for it. You confirm the photographs are of your own item and are yours to publish.

11. Changes and disputes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site rather than made quietly. These terms are governed by Indian law, and the courts of India have jurisdiction.

Complaints go to our grievance officer — details on the contact page. They are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 30 days, as required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
