Each premium range is the middle half of completed sales at independent coin shops — asking prices are never counted — and a version appears only while enough sales from more than one shop stand behind it. Condition moves value substantially, which is why each is a range.
Why old does not mean valuable
Value in coins comes from how few were struck and how few survive in good condition — not from age. A 1960s coin minted in the tens of millions can be worth less than a 1990s coin minted in the thousands.
That is the single fact the "your coin is worth lakhs" business depends on you not knowing. Once you know it, the pitch stops working, because you can ask the only question that matters: how many of these were made?
