Why not a page for every city?
Because a page that only changes the name in the heading tells a reader nothing. A place earns a page here one of two ways: it has a coinage of its own — a princely state that minted money, or a mint that strikes India’s coins — with enough completed sales for us to say what those coins fetch, or it has sellers and items behind it. For most Indian towns neither is true, and the honest answer is that the coin market is national.
